The Mavic 3M comes with a 20MP RGB Camera and four 5MP multispectral cameras. It can detect light in the following wavelengths.
Upon completion of the survey, data will be uploaded to the DJI Smartfarm software where producers will be able to download the data and analyze the information so the necessary decisions can be made to better suit the producer.
Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) uses a combination of Near Infrared and Red Light. This can tell us how much green is actually in the vegetation.
Green Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (GNDVI) also measures the Chlorophyll of the vegetation but it uses the visible light spectrum green.
Normalized Difference Red Edge (NDRE) is a great counterpart to NDVI. It uses the Red Edge to give us early detection in vegetation stress.
Leaf Chlorophyll Index (LCI) is great to asses Chlorophyll content in areas of complete leaf coverage. This index is good for crops in the later stages.
Optimized Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (OSAVI) uses near infrared and the red bands with an optimized soil adjustment coefficient.
This RGB camera will give you as much detail as you want depending on altitude flown. The missions with this camera are endless. It isn't vegetation limited even though this is a great tool for identifying the types of weeds on the fields. It is also a great tool for taking videos and pictures of structures or sprinklers on pivots.
